The year 9 transition scheme (also called Pre-IGCSE) is equivalent to Edadeya in 3rd preparatory level of the Egyptian ministry of education.

Towards the end of year 9, pupils at SIS take year 9 transition exams (IGCSE Core) in English. Mathematics and science and those tests are then sent to Britain for evaluation and marking through the British council in Cairo.

Egyptian Students validate their studies by following the curriculum set by the Egyptian Ministry of Education for Arabic Language, Religion and Social Students.
